AfroClassical is a classical music show created by Aitua Igeleke with the aim pay homage to Black classical composers in History by giving them the place and notoriety they deserve, recognized at the time for their art and often forgotten.

We do not hear the music of these composers frequently. As for their story, it is hardly ever told. That is why the Afroclassical Show narrate the stories of these great artists in theatrical form, before performing their music.

Afroclassical aims to be accessible to as wide an audience as possible. Aitua Igeleke arranged numerous pieces by these composers, from chamber music to opera arias, and for a variety of formations: solo guitar, flute and guitar, guitar quartet, and many other chamber and orchestral formations. Some scores are already available via Patreon. Others will gradually become available on this platform, where you can subscribe to support Afroclassical’s performances throughout France, Europe and the rest of the world.
